The aim of the Greater Manchester Sexual Health Network is to facilitate a greater profile and presence for all prevention, treatment and care services by improving clinical outcomes, patient experience and equality of access to all sexual health services. The Network is the UK’s first comprehensive Sexual Health Network and includes amongst others HIV, genito-urinary medicine, contraception, conception, teenage pregnancy and abortion services provided by the statutory, community and voluntary sectors.
The Network supports various programmes across Greater Manchester with the Chlamydia Screening Programme managed by RU Clear being one of its most successful.
Our newly launched website is intended to be a transparent, more interactive and less project driven site which includes profiles of Network members increasing integration with those staff who are unable to attend meetings, to signpost/re-direct both public and professionals to other sites, to highlight future relevant events and to hold a library of appropriate resources/research information.
